Eoin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from UCD, and is a qualified chartered accountant. He first collaborated with Eamonn in 1996 as a practice manager for the firm, and became partner at Leahy & Co in 1999. Eoin’s side of the practice focuses on the accounts production and audit process for owner-managed businesses, both small and medium in size.
Eoin’s considerable experience enables him to offer more than just accounting compliance to his clients. He delivers practical and insightful expertise on the key stages and challenges that face any business. For start-ups, Eoin can assist in the setting and monitoring of budgets, and in strategic planning for growth. For established businesses, he has assisted in managing expansion, and in re-shaping business models.
Eoin also has extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector - advising Government-funded and regulatory bodies, professional associations, and voluntary groups. He has assisted this client base both with compliance (statutory and bespoke) and with financial management.
In these challenging times, Eoin has helped clients to identify cost-cutting opportunities and with crisis management, and has had particular success in negotiating with lenders in the case of distressed loans.
