Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Russell Brennan Keane in 1997, becoming a Fellow of the Institute in 2007. Following qualification, Peter worked for the aircraft leasing division of major Japanese trading house and in the treasury division of a Turkish conglomerate.
In 2003, Peter returned to public practice by joining Leahy & Co. and, in conjunction with the managing partner, is currently primarily tasked with running the firm’s insolvency services.
Over the last number of years, Peter has gained extensive experience in the area of insolvency, with a particular focus on liquidations (both solvent and insolvent), and has obtained a Diploma in Insolvency (with distinction) from Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2010.
Peter became an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute in 2007 and is highly experienced in providing business advice on development & strategy, wealth management, compliance and taxation. He has also handled numerous different corporate finance assignments, including the preparation of valuations and securing finance from lending institutions.
Peter has also gained experience in family law matters, including preparation and forensic analysis of information for inclusion in Affidavits of Means and interacting with legal and accounting professionals in this area.
